As a first-generation Latina and senior at UCLA, I am committed to creating inclusive and accessible spaces through sports, education, and community engagement. I believe in the power of sports to inspire, unite, and provide life-changing experiences, especially for the younger generations. With extensive experience in event planning, community engagement, leadership, and youth sports coordination, I currently am a Community Relations and Youth Basketball intern with the LA Sparks. I previously held positions as a Recreation Leader Specialist for the City of Long Beach, where I coached, refereed, and managed logistics for youth sports leagues. I also served as a site lead for game day operations, overseeing on-site logistics, and as a park site sports coordinator. Additionally, I was a New Student Advisor at UCLA, guiding incoming students and their families.I take pride in being personable, outgoing, and highly adaptable, thriving in fast-paced, people-focused environments. My strong work ethic and ability to connect with others have made me an effective leader in mentorship, community outreach, and event execution. Beyond sports, I advocate for higher education access and have served as a keynote speaker and MC at various educational and community events. I am currently part of the UCLA Latinx Admit Weekend Logistics Subcommittee, helping organize large-scale programs that welcome and empower incoming students.I\'m always open to learning opportunities in community relations/ engagement, event logistics, operations, and management, enriching my event management and community industry skills. Post graduation, I plan to pursue a graduate degree in Sports Management to continue making an impact through sports.
