About Sena Kumapley

My current professional area of focus is the delivery of clean and critical utility equipment for new manufacturing and research facilities within Global Engineering Solutions, a capital project execution department within Merck. As a part of my role, I support projects from early design through commissioning and support start-up strategy development for clean utility systems such as Water for Injection generation and distribution systems. I previously have experience within GES in the Development Program with assignments in Process Engineering, Project Management, Project Controls, and Automation. My educational background in Biomedical Engineering and Masters in Engineering Management provides the technical and soft skills needed to be successful not only as a process engineer, but within project management. Outside of my day to day role, I have a passion for mentorship as the Mentorship Program Co-Lead for one of Merck\'s EBRGs, and engage in early talent development initiatives across the organization to support interns and co-ops.I am also a passionate disabilities advocate! As a proud sibling of a brother with Autism, I strive to work towards an equitable society for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to access the supports they need! I serve as the Program Manager for MyGOAL Inc a non profit organization that support individuals and families with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. During 2024, our organization hosted over 36 webinars, fundraisers, and events with an in-person and digital reach of 2,425 participants.

   Suite team lead for process utilities from FEL2 through execution for WFI generation and distribution, biowaste decontamination system, bulk gas storage and distribution, compressed air generation and GMP gases- Supported mechanical completion to start up and commission clean utilities, sterile supply, biowaste & potent compound, and solution preparation equipment and systems-Developed start up strategy document for start up of clean utility systems including PW100, Water for Injection Generation and the associated storage and distribution systems, with engagement of end users.
