The service was expanded to 40+ AWS services, allowing quick (<5 minutes) detection and mitigation of external and internal L7 DDoS attacks. The service set the team\'s bar for operational excellence by running server-less computes using Fargate, Kinesis and SQS.* Designed and launched AWS’s first internal DDoS testing self-serve platform, enabling real-time simulations of over 40 attack vectors across 20+ regions. Integrated automated DDoS testing with pipeline approvals, reducing testing costs by $300K.* Improved Layer 4 top-talker traffic visibility latency from 2 minutes to 20 seconds, enabling faster DDoS detection within 45 seconds and real-time mitigation at the router level. Expanded the service to process 500M+ events/min from networking devices across 30+ AWS regions.* Spearheaded multiple operational improvements, primarily by automating infrastructure deployments through CDK for 15 critical services. Earned AWS Operational Excellence Awards for significantly reducing operational overhead and leading Ops Hygiene meetings, cutting regional launch time from 2-3 weeks (manual effort) to 1 day.
