ABOUT SELINA FRANOVIC
I am a recent graduate of the University of Michigan College of Engineering and am interested in pursuing my PhD in Industrial and Operations Engineering to research cognitive human factors. In my field of study, I have experience with optimizing processes from increasing efficiency within the Inpatient Phlebotomy Services at Michigan Medicine University Hospital to standardizing and automating procedures within a small automotive transportation company. Outside of engineering, I volunteer for a non-profit based in Seattle that helps low-income and first-generation students apply to college. This volunteer work is very personal for me, being a first-generation college student myself. Higher education and striving for excellence are core values that I hold that I got from my parents who moved to America as refugees. My parents\' success story through the American Dream is what drives to be my greatest self.
