About Selina Ali
The newest Co Host of the Mac Admins Podcast - a place where we discuss the latest news, issues, and challenges of managing Apple devices with folks from around the world. Current Product Manager for Addigy - Handling things MDM, DDM, and App Management - MacOS and iOS. Specialise in AxM integrations, Automated Device Enrollment, and Apps and Books. Addigy self declared, unofficial, archaeologist on staff. I came into the tech world after almost a decade in the Heritage sector with experience in land and underwater archaeological survey and excavation. Curiosity in human interaction in the world has led to both my career in Archaeology and Product Management. Like Archaeology- Product Management is data driven story telling aimed at understanding how humans move through the world. I want to help build products that are intuitive, useful, and help make the world a slightly better place through technology. Check out my #archaeology-fact-of-the-day channel in the Macadmins slack for your daily archaeology doseI am a commercial SCUBA and SSA diver with qualifications from the Danish Maritime Authority, IDSA, and the Swedish Armed Forces. I am a PASI OWSI instructor, and specialty instructor. I have experience working individually and on multi-lingual teams in 6 countries. During my time as an archaeologist, I was a wooden boat building apprentice- ultimately building a Beetle Whaleboat for Mystic Seaport Museum, along with other small wooden watercraft. My primary archaeological research interest was Northern European Ship Construction and Digital Archaeology- in this field I founded and currently direct a non profit organisation called Past in Pixels. We are dedicated to bringing heritage to the general public in a way that is both engaging and scientifically sound. For more information please go to Pastinpixels.org
