In my current role, I lead the development of computer vision products leveraging AI and machine learning that improve road safety, traffic management, and sustainability outcomes. Specifically, I am responsible for- Product innovation and delivery: managing the lifecycle of AI-powered edge devices that use an integrated camera system to detect, count and classify objects on the road, with applications in route safety, travel time study, congestion study and near-miss detection- Data-driven decision making: Managing the lifecycle of a data management platform, taking in real-time and historical sensor data to design predictive features for incident detection, infrastructure performance monitoring, and road-user behaviour analysis- Cross-functional collaboration: working closely with software engineers, machine learning engineers, hardware specialists, and external stakeholders to align product development with user needs, regulatory requirements, and commercial viability- Applied AI research translation – bridging the gap between emerging AI methods (such as anomaly detection and predictive modelling) and deployable solutions that operate reliably in safety-critical, real-world environments.Technologies used include PHP, MySQL, Postgres, Timescale dB, Flexmonster, python, ML models, label studio. By assisting both the team and the business in the development and monitoring of process and performance, I also perform product manager role.
