ABOUT SELENE CARBONI
I am an art historian who draws lines in pencil connecting art and its disciplines with ophthalmology, branch of medicine which takes care of prevention, diagnosis, and rehabilitation of eyesight. The passion for art and the attention for this particular niche of users - the blind and low vision people - brought me to conjugate this specialist knowledge to a practical vision of this discipline, not dusty and monolithic but kaleidoscopic and sensible to external inputs. Like a good artist, I give shape to projects which have the objective of improving the tactile sense, the exploration, and the manipulation within the complete development of the person. Accessibility, inclusivity and equity are good values and practices and they make of background to my job.
