About Selena M.
I’m a mythologist, educator, and muse for the soul.My work lives at the crossroads—where ancient story meets modern longing, where the body remembers what the mind forgets, and where the sacred breaks through the everyday. I’ve spent my life studying the great myths and archetypes, not as relics, but as living presences—guides that walk with us in times of transformation, rupture, and becoming.I hold a PhD in Mythological Studies with an emphasis in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. But long before I entered the halls of academia, I was already listening—to dreams, to the body\'s wisdom, to the hush beneath language, to the way a symbol can open a door in the psyche. My scholarship is inseparable from my intuition, my years of ritual practice, and my trust in the body as an oracle. My background in dance and martial arts taught me that the body is not just a vessel—it’s a voice. I bring this into my teaching and coaching: a pedagogy rooted in ritual, poetic structure, and lived experience. I work with people who are in the midst of change—grappling with identity, desire, grief, or creativity—and I help them listen for the deeper story underneath it all.In my courses and coaching sessions, we don’t chase quick answers. We listen. We light candles. We name the archetypes stirring within. We walk through the underworld together and come back with something true. This is the rhythm of my work: intimate, embodied, mythic. I offer it to those who are ready to remember themselves—not as a brand or a performance, but as a soul with roots in something older and wiser than the world wants us to believe.Check out my website for current offerings: https://selenamadden.com
