ABOUT SELBI DURDIYEVA
Passionate and dedicated to teaching and researching social justice, access to justice, accountability, transitional justice, victim-centric justice, and bottom-up approaches to justice. Most recently, I’ve been working on non-Western imperialisms and am interested in decoloniality, settler colonialism, epistemic, racial and gender justice, and transnational solidarity. The scholars with whom I engage most extensively in my research are Sylvia Wynter and Frantz Fanon. I’ve conducted research in various contexts, including the UK, Central Asia, and Tunisia, but most of my writing focuses on Russia and the USSR.
