IQ

Supporting inter-agency cooperation and joint programming in response to forced displacement in Iraq, to enable durable solutions across affected populations and host communities. My role includes working closely with the Humanitarian Coordinator, donor and the program partners in Iraq, improving their synergy and collaboration and bringing them together for strategic alignment.More than 1.3 million Iraqis remain internally displaced, while more than Syrian refugees also largely remain in Iraq. In response to this context of displacement five international organizations – the International Labour Organizations (ILO), International Finance Corporation (IFC), United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and the World Bank (WB) – have developed a joint development-based approach for forcibly displaced persons and host communities (‘Partnership for Prospects’). Prospects is a global 5-year partnership initiated by the Government of Netherlands, taking place in eight countries with the same five partners simultaneously with a budget of EUR 500 million for 20••••23.
