Luis E. Seija, MD is a physician-leader, educator, and policy-driven researcher working at the intersection of medicine, health systems, and community impact. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the National Clinician Scholars Program and a student in the Master of Science in Health Policy Research program at the University of Pennsylvania and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.Dr. Seija is dually trained in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, having completed residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he also served as Chief Resident. In July 2025, he will begin a first-of-its-kind combined clinical fellowship in Adult and Pediatric Gastroenterology/Hepatology at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School, a training pathway he envisioned and helped build to advance cross-age transplant care and multidisciplinary medicine.Driven by service, grounded in purpose, and passionate about mentorship, Dr. Seija continues to champion systems-level solutions that move medicine, and people, forward.
