OneD collaborates with leading graphite suppliers, EV cell makers and global EV companies to adopt and scale-up the SiNANOde manufacturing process, adding silicon nanowires to commercial graphite powders already used in EV cells, to increase energy density and reduce cost and carbon footprint. Fully compatible with the existing EV supply chains in US, Europe and Asia, the use of silicon-enhanced graphites in the EV batteries translates into longer range, faster charging, more affordable Electrical Vehicles.Thanks to a more than a decade of R&D investments, the OneD patent portfolio now counts more than 230 granted patents describing many nano-silicon structures (nanowires, nanoparticles, etc.) combined with various carbon-based substrates (graphite; carbon black; graphene; pyrolyzed polymers; etc.) and various manufacturing processes (CVD; electrodeposition; etc.). The portfolio also includes inventions from leading scientists at Harvard, Berkeley and other universities.

Before joining ICP, Carlo spent 8 years at INTELLECTUAL VENTURES (IV) covering different roles as Licensing Account Executive, Senior Director Channel Sale & Licensing, and Vice President of Strategic Acquisitions. He focused on all aspects of invention rights including patent acquisitions, patent licensing, patent divestiture, M&A activity, portfolio management, IP strategy development and was instrumental in a number of strategic acquisitions, divestiture and licensing deals. Before joining IV, Carlo worked at IP VALUE Management, a company funded by Goldman Sachs, General Atlantic Partners and Boston Consulting Group to help global technology corporations to generate financial and strategic returns from their patent portfolios.Prior to that, Carlo worked 4 years in Europe (Milan, Rome, Frankfurt) as Senior Consultant at BAIN & COMPANY, a leading global management consulting firm headquartered in Boston, MA and 4 years in Italy (Padova, Milan, Rome) as partner at ISYI S.r.L, an IT consulting startup which was acquired in by ISS (IBM).Carlo has an MS in Electronic Engineering from the University of Padova (Italy) and a Master in Business Administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth (NH, US)Carlo has been named one of the world’s pre-eminent IP strategists in the 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 editions of IAM Strategy 300 – The World’s Leading IP Strategists
