ABOUT MIKE SEGAL

I specialize in helping global hyperscale customers expand their infrastructure by providing strategic, scalable, and tailored data center solutions. As Senior Vice President of Customer Management at Compass Datacenters, I lead a dedicated team responsible for leasing data center campuses to some of the largest technology companies in the world.My expertise is built on deep experience in global business development and sales leadership within the data center industry. Previously, as Vice President of Sales at ROOT Data Center, I successfully guided the growth strategy until its acquisition by Compass Datacenters in 2019. Earlier, at Q9, one of Canada\'s largest data center providers, I oversaw global business development, significantly expanding our international customer base.My international experience includes five years based in Europe, where I established strategic partnerships and managed relationships across emerging markets in Asia, Africa, and Central and Eastern Europe as Director of Business Development at the International Data Centre Group. I further advanced my global perspective as Commercial Director at IXcellerate, a start-up data center in Moscow, driving sales and marketing initiatives and attracting major international clients.I hold a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University and a Master of Science in Global Politics from the London School of Economics, combining business acumen with a strong understanding of the geopolitical dynamics affecting global technology infrastructure.I\'m passionate about bridging markets, cultures, and technologies to facilitate robust digital growth worldwide.
