ABOUT SEERAT MAQSOOD

I am a PhD scholar in Cellular and Molecular Biotechnology at Università degli Studi di Teramo, Italy, and a Young Scientist at NASA Ames Research Center. I have a Master of Science degree in Reproductive Biotechnology from the same university, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology from Dolphin (PG) Institute of Biomedical and Natural Sciences, Dehradun, UK.My current research project focuses on developing, characterizing, and validating innovative biomaterials suitable for in-vitro fertilization in mammalian models, funded by the Italian Ministry and in collaboration with the University of Murcia, Spain. Also studying effect of various gravitational forces on embryo growth and development. I have expertise in various lab techniques, such as PCR, DNA quantification, embryo manipulation, ELISA, blotting, immunochemistry, cell culture, IVF and ICSI techniques, 3D bioprinting, and single cell analysis. I have also received multiple certifications and honors in the field of biotechnology and stem cell science.In addition to my academic work, I am also volunteering as an early researcher in multiple space bioscience projects, handling multiomics and database. I am a member of the NASA Multi-Omics/Systems Biology Analysis Working Group, which aims to understand the effects of spaceflight on biological systems. My research interests include andrology, embryology, cancer research, molecular biology, genetics, AI, and neuroscience.
