I try and join the dots between risk assessment and management, across many information & cyber security and adjacent domains. Engaging on controls and practices including those in the SDLC, penetration testing & shift-left methodologies, vulnerability management, GDPR/UK DPA, DORA, NIS2 and supply chain risk. Drawing on my experience to frame and contextualise internal and external customer security concerns, challenges, or issues in the language of the business. Aspiring to enable customer security teams and service owners to collaborate and drive their organisations to success. The timeline of my career has followed a unique period of tech history, where the emergence of modern computing started; An arc of mainframes (remember those?), standalone and distributed client-server systems (the PC in \'new\' money), and into the cloud and vendor agnostic application delivery platforms with all the challenges in these for information and cyber security, privacy, and risk management. Always willing to listen, learn, fail fast, and grow from those experiences.My roles in the past 15 years have focused on strategies for understanding and developing trust. Through open, transparent and direct engagements, compelling content, and relatable narratives. To become a trusted advisor for cloud service consumers in the business and help deliver trust at scale, leveraging effective collaboration, comprehensive knowledge management, transfer and automation.
