ABOUT SEBASTIAN HERBST

I am a Creative Producer based in Babelsberg and Berlin, specializing in film & series development and the application of innovative methods and technologies, including Virtual Production. My previous projects have had successes at international festivals such as SXSW, PÖFF, ITFS and I have been a finalist for the Student Academy Award. As Founder and Managing Partner at ARKANUM PICTURES and VP Producer at ARKANUM VIRTUAL, I blend technical knowledge with collaborative leadership. My background includes an MA in Film and TV Producing from Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF and a BA in Design, which informs my hands-on, tech-open approach.I am currently co-creating and producing the action series The Driver (WT), in development with ARD Degeto and winner of the Killerstories Series Award, aiming to merge thrilling action with a portrayal of modern East Germany. At ARKANUM PICTURES, we focus on creating a collaborative space for creatives to produce fresh, bold, and magical films and series.Previously, I served as VP Producer of the Virtual Art Department for the pilot season of WINGSPAN, which premiered at Series Mania 2025. This project highlighted my ability to integrate cutting-edge technology effectively while fostering a young team\'s performance in demanding production environments.
