Sébastien Gros is a Partner in Hogan Lovells’ Paris office where he leads the Financial Institutions Group. He provides corporate and regulatory advice to financial services and insurance industry clients.Sébastien advises French and foreign financial institutions (banks, e-money and payment institutions, investment services providers, insurers/reinsurers and other regulated entities across the financial and insurance services industry) on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, including share acquisitions and disposals, assets and business transfers, portfolio transfers, joint ventures and group reorganisations.His practice extends to non-transactional financial services and insurance advice to these institutions on a wide range of legal and regulatory issues relating to their operations in France, including the setting up of new businesses, licensing and conduct of business requirements, the marketing and distribution of their products and product regulation generally.Sébastien also has in-house counsel experience, having been seconded for several months to financial institutions clients, including to a leading French banking group.He qualified as a Rechtsanwalt (Germany) in 2002 and was admitted to the Paris bar in 2006.
