Support the communication, development and execution of Manulife\'s Global Actuarial strategy by: Taking a proactive role in managing the business Supporting and driving initiatives that drive shareholder value Building and developing a team of high-skilled, actuarial and reinsurance professionals with a strong focus on learning and development, coaching and talent management with diverse backgrounds and experiences. More specifically, my duties include: Working with the leadership team to drive effectiveness of the function through leadership alignment on top focus areas, develop plans on advancing our analytical capabilities, build and execute on roadmap to our target state for experience studies, support activities to transition IFRS 17 reporting from a project to business as usual (including driving process efficiencies). Working with the Chief Actuary to develop and lead Global Actuarial leadership team meetings and strategy sessions. Work closely with Global Finance transformation team to align Actuarial priorities and initiatives with the Global Finance function. Accountability (working with the Actuarial leadership team) to develop plans to deliver efficiencies in the Global Actuarial function to meet Strategic Cost Management objectives. Lead projects, as needed, that are important priorities for the function where a senior resource is needed to drive the project. Periodically present status updates to Senior management and key stakeholders.
