Aloha! My name is Sebastian Montero-Quemado, I am a “Food Scientist” and a Humanities Scholar from Hawai’i.I recently graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo where I received a B.A. in Comparative Ethnic Studies, with minors in Food Science and Dairy Industries. I am a currently pursuing a Master\'s degree in Regulatory Science (Food Safety) at Arizona State University.My experience working with a Food Scientist during my senior year of high school has inspired me to enter this field in college where I later became interested in the field of Ethnic Studies in understanding the experiences of Race, Gender, & Sexuality. I diversified myself in connecting these two fields in understanding the creation of food and approaching them through a cultural lens in broadening the scales of sustainability, authenticity, and safety for consumers and food systems.
