About Sebastian Kurian
Sebastian Kurian is the Chief Legal Officer of Rowan Digital Infrastructure, a Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners platform company. Rowan is a developer of sustainability focused hyperscale data centers across the United States.Prior to joining Rowan, Sebastian spent a decade between Google and Amazon providing legal and strategy support for a broad range of data center matters including site selection, acquisition, development, operations, power procurement and infrastructure, public policy, sustainability, economic development, community affairs, public relations, marketing and colocation leasing. During that time, he closed nearly 10 GWs of clean energy power purchases and financing agreements across 5 continents for the two largest corporate buyers of renewables in the world and helped deliver multiple hyperscale data center campuses. Earlier in his career, he was the Assistant General Counsel of one of the oldest and largest building and civil construction firms in the US, and a commercial real estate, construction and transactional finance associate at AmLaw 200 law firms. Sebastian graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Maryland School of Law with honors. He has also completed Yale\'s Financing and Deploying Clean Energy Certificate Program and University of California Berkeley Law\'s General Counsel University Program. In 2019, the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) named him a Rising Star. Sebastian has previously held a federal Top Secret (SCI) security clearance. Sebastian lives outside Seattle, WA with his wife, son and two dogs. Outside of work he enjoys outdoor activities, travel, fitness, and rooting for his hometown Baltimore Ravens and Orioles.
