I am a German-born, American-raised editor and writer with over 15 years of experience in book, magazine, online publishing, and IP development, specializing in the comics and entertainment industry. I began my editorial career at Marvel Entertainment, where I helped develop and creatively guide titles like Punisher MAX, Ghost Rider, & New Mutants. As a freelance editor, I went on to edit numerous creator-owned comic book series published by Image including Black Science, Deadly Class, and the Harvey and Eisner Award-winning Southern Bastards. In 2018 I helped launch TKO Studios as Editor-in-Chief where I managed all editorial, publishing and creative development until 2024.In 2023 I founded Goats Flying Press, an independent, creator-owned comic book publisher, based in Brooklyn, NY.As writer, I created the all-ages fantasy adventure Scales & Scoundrels (Image 2017 / TKO 2021) with artist/co-creator Galaad, the tall-tale action/satire Shirtless Bear-Fighter!(Image, 2017) with co-writer/co-creator Jody Leheup and artist/co-creator Nil Vendrell, the samurai grindhouse The Devil\'s Red Bride with artist/co-creator John Bivens (Vault Comics, 2020), and the dark fantasy The Dead and the Damned (Goats Flying Press, 2024) with artist/co-creator Kelly Williams.As a freelance comics professional I have been hired as an editor, writer, and translator for Marvel Entertainment, Dstlry, VIZ Media, Heavy Metal, Kodansha, Penguin Random House, and Wizards of the Coast.Specialties-Bilingual in English and German; Advanced-level Japanese, written and spoken-15+ years of experience in print & online publishing-Exceptional organizational, creative, and time-management skills-Fluent understanding of IP, narrative, narrative and story development, editing, art direction, design, print production, and packaging-Ability to manage, guide, and oversee several creative teams and projects simultaneously, keeping independent budgets, and schedules to achieve peak quality.
