ABOUT SEBASTIAN GONZALEZ

I’m a UCLA student majoring in Cognitive Science with a specialization in Computing, pursuing a career as a game developer and data analyst. With experience in both interactive media and data-driven research, I build engaging digital experiences and uncover insights that support informed decision-making. As a game developer, I’ve designed and built multiple 2D games using Construct 3 and Unity, handling everything from programming mechanics and UI/UX design to debugging and polish. I’ve contributed both independently and in teams, and I’m driven by a passion for creating immersive, meaningful experiences through gameplay. My journey in this space was sparked by my time with Better Youth, where I worked on interactive gaming projects that deepened my skills in storytelling, design, and collaboration. On the data side, I’ve spent over two years analyzing and interpreting data using Python, R, and SQL. I’ve applied these skills in various environments—from optimizing procurement data systems at the University of California Office of the President (UCOP) to my own school projects for statistical research. I’m a strong communicator, quick learner, and highly organized. Whether coding a new game level or analyzing behavioral data, I approach challenges with curiosity and intention.
