WORK HISTORY
National Training Lead @ISS Facility Services UK
GB
Key responsibilities include designing and overseeing high-standard, up-to-date national training programs that align with statutory and organisational goals. I lead the development of blended learning pathways, including digital, virtual, and simulation methods, while ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all participants. Collaboration with subject specialists, leadership, and external partners fosters a culture of continuous learning, maintains relevance, and ensures compliance amidst evolving contexts.Quality assurance is central: all training must meet regulatory, ethical, and organisational standards (NHS, CQC, NMC, safeguarding legislation), supported by robust evaluation, peer review, and improvement frameworks. I manage and develop a national team of trainers, establishing CPD frameworks and prioritising wellbeing for trainers and learners.Guided by ISO 45003, I identify and mitigate psychosocial risks, such as stress and burnout, to maintain a physically and psychologically safe environment. Wellbeing assessments and support structures are built into training management to reduce burnout and support retention.Drawing on Lean Six Sigma and ISO 45003, I champion data-driven, ongoing improvement using the DMAIC cycle to streamline processes, eliminate waste, and promote efficient, collaborative delivery. Programs are tailored to the specific needs of parishioners, staff, volunteers, and the wider organisation, serving over 4 million lay members nationally.Transparency and engagement are priorities; every team member is empowered to contribute and change management is sensitively handled. I foster adaptability, integrating feedback, innovation, and emerging best practices into every level of training. All content is rooted in law, policy, Catholic values, and canon law, promoting moral accountability and justice. Training is multi-level and role-specific, ensuring safeguarding is integral to the organisation’s culture.
