ABOUT SEBASTIAN BOEHLER
Self-taught software engineer who started building and shipping software early.I began by freelancing and building small SaaS products, working end-to-end from idea to deployment, before moving deeper into backend and systems-level development. Over time, my focus shifted toward performance-critical systems, trading infrastructure, and automated strategies.I recently completed my bachelor’s degree and am continuing with a master’s to strengthen my theoretical foundation in machine learning and related fields, complementing the practical experience I’ve built through hands-on projects.My work today is mostly centered around C, C++, and Python, building REST and WebSocket clients, market-making systems, and native trading environments optimized from the ground up. I care a lot about first-principles thinking, bottom-up understanding, testing, and writing systems that are not just fast, but correct and maintainable.Outside of engineering, I’m interested in neuroscience and how learning and cognition work, and I spend a fair amount of time in the gym.Currently open to machine learning and quant related roles and internships.
