About Sean Tien

I was introduced to the world of gaming from a very early age when my grandfather handed me the very first Game Boy when I was 5 years old. I remember playing Super Mario Land for the very first time and being so fascinated by the catchy tunes, the ability to power up, jump on evil mushrooms, and progress through levels. Gaming soon became more than just something I did for fun, it was a way for me to make friends, learn, explore, grow and challenge myself. I still remember getting laughed at by the snarky dog when I\'d miss every shot on Duck Hunt, and battling it out on Street Fighter 2 against my cousin trying to mash every single button as hard and as fast as possible thinking it\'d grant me extra power to fight back against his Chun Li. In 2002, I left the country I called home and moved across the ocean to the US. Having to start my life over with no friends in a foreign land and a significant language barrier, I once again turned to gaming for comfort and familiarity. It was at this time, I stumbled upon Grand Theft Auto by happenstance. It was the first open-world game I had ever played, I loved the incredible sense of freedom I got to experience, to be anything and do anything I wanted on my own terms and timeline. Being able to fully explore an expansive and lived-in world that mimicked the cities I\'ve always wanted to travel to. Later, when Grand Theft Auto IV was released, I felt as if I was traveling back in time to re-live my own struggles as a newcomer to a new country through the eyes of Niko Bellic, and the incredible storytelling deeply resonated with me. To this very day, Grand Theft Auto IV remains one of my absolute favorite games of all time. Gaming has been a significant part of my formative years, and the iconic genre-defining games from Rockstar Games have shaped my experiences both as a gamer and a person. I am in absolute awe that I get to be a part of my favorite video game company and I have the opportunity to chat with fans daily about their favorite video games!
