I am the President and Chief Executive Officer at the Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association (VHHA). VHHA is the respected and authoritative voice for hospitals and healthcare systems in Virginia. The association is composed of 26 member health systems and hospitals, which operate 110 community, psychiatric, rehabilitation, and specialty hospitals throughout Virginia. Hospitals and healthcare directly employ almost Virginians and annually contribute $35B to Virginia\'s economy. The mission of VHHA is: to advocate on behalf of its members for public policy solutions that advance a healthy Virginia; to provide leadership on quality, safety and service excellence; and to provide data, shared services, educational programs and expertise that support our member’s activities.
