My personal mission is to make research radically accessible, deeply rooted, and powerfully actionable — so the people closest to the problem can lead the way to better futures.I’m the founder of Small Kine Research & Action (SKRA), a Hawai‘i-based social-change agency focused on solving human problems through people-centered research and purposeful delivery. I practice “Research & Action”—anchoring everything in lived experience and taking responsibility for small steps that lead to big change.After wrapping my UX research role at Microsoft, I launched SKRA to support mission-driven teams who want clarity, strategy, and traction. My current projects include: Culturalyst – Leading research to align platform direction with artists’ needs and funders’ expectations Hub Coworking Hawaiʻi – Conducting embedded, pro bono research to optimize membership experience from the inside outMy background spans anthropology, UX research, experience strategy, and product thinking, with roles at Microsoft, Walmart Labs, Demandforce, and grassroots organizations. 1. Community-embedded Researcher

   This is a rare form of insider research. After nearly two years as a Host (a work-trade program) and Unlimited Member (a co-working space membership type), I began applying my full research skill set to improve the member experience at Hub Coworking Hawai‘i.My work includes strategic synthesis of member interviews, heuristic audits of the onboarding journey, and qualitative insights to guide community programming and membership conversion strategies.By drawing from UX research, cultural anthropology, and community design, I support the Hub’s mission with deep alignment to its values and users.
