ABOUT SEAN SHERESTON

I am hard working and passionate, with a specific interest in improving the conservation status of our tree dwelling bat species via education, practical research, and innovative management practices.I hold Natural England (Class 3 and 4) and Natural Resources Wales bat licenses, and have commercial experience with all survey types including catching and radio-tracking. I have been/currently accredited on NE sci-cons project licenses which have involved catching, tagging, and tracking of Annex II bat species including Bechstein\'s and barbastelle, as well as work catching Nathusius\' pipistelle and Alcathoe. I have worked with 16 of the 18 UK bat species (excludes grey long-eared and greater mouse-eared).In addition I am a qualified arborist, with solid practical and theoretical experience gained through my own contracts and working with local authorities. I conduct tree condition assessments (QTRA registered consultant) in addition to producing tree constraints and protection plans for development sites. I have expanded my knowledge in this area by undertaking a L4 Diploma in Arboriculture at Tree Life AC.
