I am a partner in the Financial Services and Restructuring Group at Levenfeld Pearlstein, LLC. I assist debtors, creditors, creditors’ committees, and purchasers of assets in bankruptcy courts throughout the nation. I have represented debtors, purchasers, and secured creditors in out-of-court restructurings and distressed asset sales. I also have substantial experience in commercial litigation matters and have represented many large preference/fraudulent transfer defendants throughout the country. I have also represented debtors in section 363 sales and subsequent plan confirmation in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of Illinois, Northern District of Illinois, and Central District of California. I have represented creditors’ committees in over fifteen cases throughout the country, recovering millions of dollars for unsecured creditors. My committee experience includes: a regional seed company located near Des Moines, Iowa in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Iowa, a manufacturer located near Peoria, Illinois in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of Illinois, and a well known fashion retailer in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Prior to joining LP, I was an associate at Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr LLP and previously served as an extern to the Hon. Bruce W. Black (at the time, the Chief Judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois).
