In 2021 I had the opportunity to move more fully into teaching and student success at my alma-mater, taking a lecturer faculty position in the English Department and an administrative role in support of the first-year curriculum. General duties are as follows: • Teach 3 courses under the English Department every semester, with a course release for the fourth in order to perform administrative duties. Focused primarily on ENG 101: College Writing, INDS 110: Presentational Literacy, and SEMS 110 First-Year Seminar• Develop and streamline the first-year curriculum under the leadership of the Associate Academic Dean. Teach those same courses so as to better inform decisions• Assist with assessments to lead result-driven changes to curriculum, in discussion and negotiation with faculty partners• Advise and provide support to a group of students on campus in my first-year seminar• Support the English Department and wider Campus through volunteering in service and student organizations, as well as assisting at departmental, orientation, or admissions events• Coordinate with key faculty across the first-year experience and other campus partners in the Excel program, Student Life, Office of Diversity and Inclusion, and more
