ABOUT SEAN MCCULLOUGH
Mr. McCullough serves as the Finance Director for both the Clinical Transformation shared services division (Strategy, Access, Quality, and Patient Experience) and Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital, an acute care community teaching hospital in Warrensville Heights, Ohio. In these Finance leadership roles, he is passionate about leading the team-based financial support that enables growth, accurate planning, and creates opportunities to reinvest in our mission. After a brief stint at Key Bank early in his career, Mr. McCullough joined Cleveland Clinic in 2011 in the finance-based Performance Improvement department. He joined at a time of industry turmoil due to the ACA passage, and helped support multiple initiatives focused on improving efficiency, re-establishing service line market strategies, and reducing overall costs. Through his support and leadership, the program and projects contributed over $1B of verifiable expense reduction from 20••••18. In his most recent experience, Mr. McCullough provides financial oversight and strategic business planning for hospital operations, capital & FTE planning, and strategic enterprise business planning for new initiatives. He is most proud of his work across diverse teams and the development of the finance caregiver’s he mentors and oversees. Mr. McCullough holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the John Carroll University Boler School of Business (University Hts. Ohio, 2006). He subsequently acquired his CPA and Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications.
