ABOUT SEAN MAGENNIS

As Executive Vice President of Membership Engagement at Scouting America, my mission is clear: to help more young people experience the life-changing impact of Scouting. I lead national strategies to grow membership, deepen engagement, and ensure every family feels welcomed, supported, and inspired. This role brings together my lifelong commitment to youth development, values-based leadership, and building communities that endure.For over three decades, I’ve worked at business, leadership, and human connection — building companies, guiding CEOs, and helping leaders find clarity in complexity.From my early days in South Africa to leading global organizations across five continents, my career has been shaped by a commitment to service, trust, and building communities that last.I’ve had the privilege of serving as Global Chairman of EO and as President & COO of YPO, scaling its membership to over CEOs across 128 countries.I also support membership development at TIGER 21 as a Senior Advisor, serve on the board of MDB Capital Holdings, and advise founders, families, and executive teams on growth, legacy, and exit strategy.My work spans peer-to-peer networks, strategic business consulting, leadership development, business development, hospitality, and nonprofit governance.Whether I’m helping an entrepreneur prepare for a liquidity event or supporting a young leader through their first major career decision, my approach is the same: listen deeply, operate with integrity, and make space for others to grow.I believe the most important work we do is often behind the scenes — helping others step into their potential, build with purpose, and leave something meaningful behind.
