ABOUT SEAN MAJER

As a scientist with Thermo Fisher, I leverage over a decade of research and expertise in structural biology and biochemistry to develop and optimize analytical methods. I am currently part of the Clinical Research Group (CRG) of Thermo Fisher working with a client lead at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) in their Structure & Function Characterization Group (Analytical Development) on the Higher-Order Structure team.I have a strong track record of delivering high-quality results in protein purification/characterization, biochemical assays, advanced spectroscopies, protein crystallography, and computational chemistry. I enjoy working in collaborative and dynamic teams, while also managing multiple projects and meeting demanding deadlines. Outside of work, I pursue my personal interests in baking, backpacking, and (*deep sigh*) the Buffalo Bills.Additionally, I am actively pivoting towards a career in intellectual property law as it pertains to the (bio)pharmaceutical industry. I am currently preparing for the patent bar and seeking a role with a firm as a patent agent or technical specialist. Longterm I would like to matriculate in a JD program and earn a law degree.
