Responsible for the analysis and reviews of all system integrations required to deliver the new dispensing solution (LSRetail) for Lloyds Pharmacy. Created Epics/Features/Stories for required integrations with legacy applications and external services, these were then distributed to the development teams for delivery. Introduced detailed logging of all inbound / outbound data flows so that we have the capability to reconcile any interaction across the middleware layer thus allowing me to prove that the middleware platform was stable. Lead the delivery of Splunk into the business, where all of the detailed logs were ingested, data analysed and profiled into dashboards so that the business has a detailed view of activity within the stores- Reviewed all integration schemas (WSDL’s & XSD’s) and created data mappings to align the inbound & outbound data requirements. This change in approach has enabled McKesson to operate from a single version of data truth; and has resulted in a single data layer for services to connect with each other- Lead the initiative for the developers to provide crumb logs within the solution delivery as a minimum standard. This was challenged / pushed back by some delivery teams; however this was turned around into a positive delivery as the benefits outweighed the issues faced from the user community- Introduced and delivered Splunk into the IT Application stack. Setup the ingestion of the logs (above) that were specifically designed for interrogation and challenged the LSRetail team to do the same for the dispensing solution (as we were unable to prove certain application issues)- Wrote a series of management dashboards in Splunk and these were also supported with detailed level dashboards and alerts. Dashboards also overlaid with RAG to align to operational SLAs- Pushed for the project to abide by a set of agreed service metrics (SLAs) so that we can have a vision or view of what “Good” looks and feels like.
