Assess the existing legacy infrastructure then propose recommendations to transform it to moremodern architecture including moving on-prem services to AWS. Created a standalone operational monitoring system with KTor backend andNextJS/React UI for all engineers across global regional officesto monitor the current state of the applications and provide config management aswell as access control for individual services. This new system replaces a legacy Rubybased dashboard that was functional but difficult to add new features to. Refactored an internal service that provides referential data from BloombergSAPI and BPIPE APIs to handle 3X load and stable latency. In addition, the new service isnow able to horizontally scale by adding more instances behind a HAProxy loadbalancer. Created a Greeks calculator for Equity Capped Warrants collaborating with aquant researcher. Implemented a logic inside an existing pricing application to publish allincoming market data requests to Kafka then persist the data in Snowflake to provide a better historical view of the data used throughout systems.
