About Sean Balbale
I’m Sean Balbale, a student-athlete at Trinity College pursuing a dual degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering and Computer Science. My passion for technology is centered on building and creating, whether it\'s developing a personal portfolio with Next.js and React, or designing and assembling a custom electric bike with 3D-printed parts. I apply this same builder\'s mindset to my professional work, where I enjoy turning complex technical challenges into effective solutions.As a results-driven engineer, I have contributed to impactful projects across different industries. During my Software Engineer Internship at Bullhorn, I worked on backend services where I executed a major framework migration from Spring Boot 2 to 3 and led a critical security initiative to upgrade core logging dependencies to Log4j2. At Titan Advanced Energy Solutions, I developed Python software to visualize ultrasonic battery data, directly enhancing the defect detection process for EV batteries. Through my freelance business, Cherrybrook Networks, I have spent years providing technical support and software solutions to local companies, including designing custom computers and automating cloud backups.My ability to balance demanding academics with my commitment to the Trinity College Men\'s Rowing team has strengthened my skills in collaboration and critical thinking. When I’m not coding or on the water, you can find me cooking katsu ramen or getting off an Erg after a 2K sprint.
