The thing about broadcasting is that it IS change. For the longest time, the steady march of progress in this industry was driven by the desire to do things better than last year - and better than the competition. Then the number of channels in the wild started growing, and the cost of equipment started dropping. Progress began to be driven by volume of output. And then the Internet happened. The pace of progress increased to a sustained fever pace. Keeping up is no small task.That constant change is what drew me to broadcasting and what keeps me in broadcasting. Leading multidisciplinary teams and organizations into and through change is the energy source of my career.Our success as an industry hinges on our ability to keep relevant. To do that we need to reinvent ourselves constantly. Who wouldn’t want to be involved in an industry that constantly needs that kind of forward momentum?
