1. Senior Event Planner

   Postpartum Support International

   After 10 months as a Contract Event Planner, I was promoted into a full-time W2 role as Senior Event Planner for Postpartum Support International (PSI). PSI is the world’s leading nonprofit in perinatal mental health, providing education, training, peer support, and informed resources for families and professionals navigating pregnancy and postpartum mental health challenges. With volunteers across all 50 states and more than 36 countries, PSI plays a vital role in strengthening the systems that support parents and infants.In my Senior Event Planner role, I oversee the planning and execution of PSI’s national training portfolio, which in 2025 included 50 events from multi-day in-person programs across the U.S. to virtual trainings delivered across multiple time zones. These programs include Components of Care, Perinatal Loss trainings, Paternal PMH, Advanced Psychotherapy, Advanced Psychopharmacology, Medical Provider trainings, Spanish-language offerings, BIPOC-only trainings, and other specialized PMH programs.I manage the full event lifecycle: venue sourcing, RFP and contract negotiation, budgeting, room design, audiovisual and catering coordination, trainer support, and pre-event and onsite logistics. I communicate with hundreds of venues annually to ensure each training meets PSI’s standards for accessibility, capacity, and participant experience.As a senior member of the Training & Education team, I collaborate closely with PSI leadership, Marketing, and Chapter partners to streamline communication, strengthen workflows, and support consistent nationwide event delivery. I also contribute to operational enhancements that improve efficiency and the overall attendee experience.Having lived the emotional intensity of a premature birth and NICU stay, supporting PSI’s mission feels like purpose-driven work that allows me to give back to families walking a similar path.
