Collaborates with a team of PhD students and faculty members in the departments of biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, and biology from both Rutgers University and the University of Delaware. Lead researcher on mechanism of action regarding forms of mechanosensitive endocytosis with applications for a novel device used with transdermal DNA vaccine injections meant to increase pDNA transfection efficiency and overall vaccine efficacy. Presented research findings, “Deformation-induced endocytic pathways – a literature overview”, at GeneOne Life Science’s 2021 research summit. Participates in weekly meetings regarding active projects to discuss future directions and orchestrate next steps. Developing a cumulative review on cellular mechanics, molecular physiology, and endocytic phenomena with a publishing expectation in early 2023.
