About Sean V.

Sean Vanos is a well-respected Facilities and Fields Director whose wealth of knowledge and expertise, keen attention to detail, high sense of work ethic and exceptional skills have made him an exemplary employee and a well-respected and trusted colleague to those in his field. He received his undergraduate degree in Community and Environmental Planning at the University of Washington and went on to be get his Turfgrass Management degree at Penn State University. Sean has years of experience managing high end golf courses as a groundskeeper at the Riviera Country Club, and Assistant Superintendent at the Seattle Golf Club. After enjoying a 6-year career in the golf industry Sean moved on to the management of elite athletic fields and training grounds as the Assistant Groundskeeper for the Seattle Mariners and Fields & Grounds Manager for the Seattle Seahawks. These positions propelled him into his current role as the Director of Facility Operations for the Seattle Seahawks for the past 6 years. As Director of Facility Operations, Sean is responsible for overseeing all maintenance & operations of the facility and fields at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center, the headquarters of the Seattle Seahawks. More specifically, this includes managing a multi-million dollar operations budget, Capital & Strategic Planning, Project Management, and Event Operations. Sean enjoys the challenging demands and fast-paced environment of professional sports. In his free time, Sean enjoys time with his wife and two daughters, camping, golfing, and live music.
