Oversee the comprehensive management of all Conferences & Events (C&E) and race days at Haydock Park Racecourse, ensuring exceptional delivery that consistently exceeds customer expectations.• Execute the role of Senior Event Duty Manager, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of events, and conducting thorough checks to maintain the highest standards of presentation and safety.• Assist the Operations Manager with financial oversight, including creating purchase orders, certifying invoices, and controlling expenditure, while striving to enhance operational profitability.• Liaise with exhibition, conference, banqueting, and event organizers to understand their requirements, providing technical and logistical support, conducting site visits, and managing event bookings.• Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a seamless customer experience from booking handover to event delivery, prioritizing customer satisfaction.• Lead and participate in weekly Operations meetings, and chair meetings as required by the Operations Manager.• Support the development of security and stewarding schedules for racing events, manage race day casual assistants, plan rotas, and handle administrative tasks.• Ensure all necessary race day paperwork and equipment are prepared and operational, working with the Operations Manager and third-party contractors to deliver various services.• Champion the implementation of Health & Safety requirements, communicate issues with staff and customers, manage safety systems, and maintain Health & Safety records.• Promote environmental awareness across the site in collaboration with the Jockey Club Sustainability Executive.• Coordinate with entertainment and theming suppliers, manage on-site customer orientation, and troubleshoot to ensure smooth event operations.
