Working within the Chief Accountant\'s Group, Finance, I am currently responsible for managing the IFRS Conversion Project Office. This team leads comprehensive accounting change projects, including planning, design and implementation of these accounting policies and the associated reporting, risk, process/control changes and stakeholder management (internal and external communication and coordination). The current focus of the team is delivery of the new IFRS 9 \"Financial Instruments\" accounting standard which takes effect for Canadian D-SIB banks on November 1, 2017, and defines the new rules for financial instruments classification and measurement, the impairment of financial assets credit risk and hedge accounting, excluding macro-hedging transactions.
