About Sean Tankersley

I am a sophomore at Indiana University, Bloomington, in the School of Public Health looking for jobs/internships in the sports management industry. As a Sports Management and Marketing major, I am particularly interested in pursuing a career in the sports industry. I am hoping to get an internship soon so I can begin to gain experience and an understanding of what it takes to be a sports professional.My past work experience includes Ace Hardware, where I did all the heavy lifting and building of products as well as customer assistance. My other work experience includes living and working as a counselor and program head at a YMCA summer camp in Michigan with 22-23-hour shifts. My job experience taught me many important skills such as hard work, responsibility, the importance of teamwork and how to be a leader.My education has always been important to me. I always strived for the best grades; only an A+ would satisfy me, not even an A. I taught myself how to work hard and stay persistent through it all, which has already helped me in many aspects of my life including being a four-year varsity wrestler in high school. Further, I began learning Spanish in kindergarten in a Spanish immersion program, which carried all the way through 12th grade. Being bi-lingual is important and I am continuing to study Spanish in college in pursuit of a Spanish minor.
