ABOUT SEAN SULLIVAN

I lead David Evans and Associates, Inc.’s (DEA) Energy Business Unit where my team works in the power market to help utilities, renewable developers, and contractors plan, design, and implement projects that deliver reliable, responsibly sourced electricity to our communities. As a member of DEA’s Executive Leadership Team, I help lead our company into the future – one in which we improve the quality of life while demonstrating stewardship of the built and natural environments across our energy, transportation, water, and land development business lines.Since joining DEA in 1996, I have witnessed incredible change among our people, our clients, our services, and our culture. Today, I am most excited about opportunities in our Energy Business Unit as we ambitiously work to grow our team and expand our services to markets and clients throughout the western US and beyond. I entered the power market through the regulatory space helping our clients site, develop, and secure federal, state, and local authorizations and approvals for traditional and renewable generation facilities, transmission corridors, substations, modernization and reliability projects, cable landing stations, marine terminals including an LNG export facility, and transportation facilities. I enjoy building teams, working collaboratively, and solving complex problems requiring adaptive solutions. I believe it is my responsibility as a leader to develop my emotional intelligence and lead in the service of my team. I believe my two most important functions as a leader for our team are to build alignment around a shared vision of our future, and help everyone reach their full potential. I am proud to say I work at DEA and especially grateful for our people.
