As a member of the House Recording Studio team, I provide coverage of the House, broadcast and webcast Committee hearings, and provide video and audio services for Members. Responsibilities include- Performing a full range of camera operations for recorded and/or live television programming as well as live television coverage of daily House floor proceedings and committee hearings- Preparing the House studios for each program including lighting the sets and determining initial camera positions- Working with Engineering Operations and the Production Operations Manager on programming and technical needs- Operating cameras to secure professional picture composition and focus; applies experience and creative artistic ability in proceeding with or anticipating Director’s commands for television programming- Performing non-linear editing, audio and/or radio studio operations, and tape room operations- Directing single or multiple camera productions- Maintaining responsibility for technical aspects of camera equipment to the extent of making necessary settings for each program/proper pictures- Carrying out and following up on the completion of special projects and initiatives.
