An experienced pharmaceutical professional, I have been employed at Merck since 2011. In my 10+ years of industry experience, I have supported product development, shop floor manufacturing operations, network strategy, oncology and vaccines global marketing, and strategic procurement. Currently I am the procurement lead for our Animal Health Intelligence business unit. I previously enjoyed a two year rotational program within Merck (between global HQ and Lyon, France) to further develop an enterprise mindset and understanding of our multi-divisional and global company of employees. I am a 2011 graduate of Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, where I received a B.S. in Biology and Religion, a minor in Chemistry.Outside of work, I value a healthy work-life balance and continue to pursue my interest in traveling and athletics, especially running. I have completed numerous marathons (including a 6x Boston Marathon finisher) and Ironman competitions (Challenge Penticton 2013, Ironman Chattanooga 2015). I also appreciate opportunities to volunteer my time, including as a Volunteer Assistant Coach with the Duke University Track and Field team and previously at the high school level.I also co-founded and was the initial President of Pamoja Social Enterprises, a 501(c)(3) non-profit incorporated in North Carolina that seeks to improve the lives of homeless and stigmatized youth in Eldoret and Iten, Kenya. I have driven the successful fundraising of in less than 6 months for Pamoja, opened a year round office in the Langas district of Eldoret, and managed a team of ~20 Kenyan based volunteers to benefit almost 500 children each month in Kenya.

   Establish and Lead the procurement team supporting the Technology Solutions business unit, a collection of 100+ Legal Entities across multiple new brands in various stages of integration. Together with my team, we are responsible for managing category strategy and sourcing initiatives across the entire business - direct materials, indirect materials, commercial operations, R&D, and business development. We also develop and execute the strategy to manage our global supply base, and enable the setup and deployment of ERP to the newly established business unit, in order to connect 1 billion animals to our platform.
