ABOUT SEAN NUGENT
Sean has 19 years of experience designing transportation projects. He is a Roadway and Traffic project manager for complex interstate freeway, interchange, and highway projects as well as urban arterial, roundabouts, intersection, and local roadways. While developing his career at Horrocks he’s held a roadway or traffic leadership role for major Progressive Design-Build (PDB), Design-Build (DB), and Design-Bid-Build (DBB) projects with over $1.5 billion in design and construction. Sean’s technical experience includes creating detailed and comprehensive 3D models of roadway, retaining wall, and pipeline elements. He leads teams in creating cost estimates, and writing project specifications and provisions. As a Traffic lead he has designed multi-phased maintenance of traffic (MOT) plans and details, signing, pavement marking, lighting, signals, and ITS infrastructure. Multifaceted Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures are routinely implemented by Sean and his team. He is proficient in OpenRoads, Microstation with Inroads, and AutoCAD Civil 3D and is familiar with AASHTO and multiple DOT standards.
