About Sean McTaggart
Sean McTaggart joined Marriott as Design Manager at the start of 2024. Prior to that, he spent two years as project architect at Eric Colbert Architects. Originally from South Jersey, he has lived in DC since starting at Catholic University in 2005. After earning his M. Arch and serving a brief stint at a Jersey shore architecture firm, Sean returned to DC to work at Hickok Cole for 7 years, gaining experience on several housing & mixed-use projects in all phases of construction, and becoming a licensed architect. Sean’s iLab project “Timber Towers” is a conceptual mass timber skyscraper in Philadelphia that showcases the technology’s potential as an alternative to concrete and steel. In spring 2019, this mass timber passion led him to join Katerra, a Silicon Valley start-up whose goal was to transform the construction industry, though their business model didn’t quite pencil out. Sean enjoys 9:30 Club concerts, training for the Cherry Blossom Run, and traveling. He is a die-hard Philly sports fan, and lives with his wife Rosa and daughters Ceire & Emma at the H St corridor.
