About Sean McCue

I was once a chemical engineer that early in my career was drawn to more customer facing opportunities. Over the last 15 years I have had a number of accomplishments in engineering, tech service, sales, marketing, market development, sales leadership and international business leadership roles with 3 companies, DuPont, Nalco and Beckers. At DuPont, I was hired as a chemical engineer where I took on rolls starting a pilot plant then moved to technical service selling coatings to Ford. I then moved into a recruiting, hiring and placing early career engineers and running the co-op / intern program for the company. I then moved to Nalco and worked for the Colloidal Technologies Group in a variety of sales, new market development and sales leadership positions over about a ten year period. My primary responsibilities and accomplishments centered around sales / market development activities in the nano materials space selling colloidal silica into coatings, adhesives, polishing, microelectronics and catalyst applications in North America, Europe and supporting some global corporate accounts in Asia as well. I now work as the Vice President of Sales in North America for Beckers, which is the worlds largest coil coating supplier globally but about the 5th largest in North America. In this role I lead and direct all sales, marketing and customer service activities in North America for Beckers which is positioned stateside as a very entrepreneurial entity for a large coatings company.I find myself gravitating toward small to mid-size businesses (or business units) that have an entrepreneurial spirit and capabilities to quickly respond to customers changing wants and needs. In these organizations, I can best apply my abilities to lead people and connect the dots between what customers may need and my own company\'s internal and capabilities and/or products.
