Conduct thorough investigations for any threats made toward or within the district, all in while working in conjunction with our legal department, school administrators, and Director of Schools-Special Projects-Creation of the Reunification Plan-Wrote and submitted the Federal Grant COPS- School Violence Protection Program (SVPP) Grant for RCS-Implementation and deployment of CEIA OpenGate Weapons Detection System over 53 sites located within our school district-Serve as a liaison between the school district and state and local law enforcement and emergency management agencies-Creation of policy and procedure that will provide further guidance on security and safety for the district while working closely with the legal department-Works with the School Safety Director maintains and ensures implementation of school safety plans (Emergency Operation Plans/EOP)Work closely with the State of Tennessee to include Homeland Security and Department of Education to ensure compliance with all mandates laws.Assist the School Safety Director with planning and coordinating safety drills and exercises.Monitors anonymous reporting systems to ensure that students are protected from bullying.Perform other duties as assigned by the School Safety Director

With over 16 years of experience in law enforcement, I’ve built a career focused on public safety, leadership, and school security. I’ve served in multiple key roles—including Field Training Officer, Patrol Sergeant, and SRO Sergeant—gaining invaluable experience through both formal training and real-world application.In these roles, I collaborated with school administrators, law enforcement leadership, and district staff to ensure the safety and well-being of students and faculty across the district. That foundation prepared me for my current position as Assistant Director of School Safety for Rutherford County Schools, where I’m proud to continue advancing safety initiatives and emergency preparedness efforts.I recently obtained my bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Lipscomb University in of December 2024.
